Just a suggestion regarding desktop screenshots...

Good day, Admins & Mods:

It would really be nice if users were only allowed to use thumbnails for posting screenshot images, or perhaps simply link directly to them.

Many of the screenshots currently posted in the "desktop screenshots" thread are huge in file size and physical dimensions. Those shots totally screw up the page margins and they undoubtedly play havoc with page load speed and the overall bandwidth here at LinuxForums.org

I completely agree with this. I personally am against any direct posting of images in threads. A URL would do the same thing and it's easier on those of us with slower connections.

It might be a good idea to start a new "desktop screenshots" thread occasionally, too. The current one is becoming rather huge. Perhaps a yearly thread, or something all the way down to a monthly thread would work better.
