Why the site navigation?
I used to like this site; however, since the forum change, navigation is a nightmare. Why are the forum threads nested at the top of the page as compared to being able to see all the posts as you scroll down the page? Being forced to read the comment and going back to the top of the page to click the next post in a thread is a nightmare. I find myself doing more scrolling and clicking than reading.
Sorry to say, but you fixed something that wasn't broken.

Dude, Change your display mode (using the button just above this post) to Linear Mode, it will be what you are used to that way!
