    This is due to problems with our DNS provider, our DNS settings were reset last night, and some of the subdomains got wiped. ive have just re-added the irc.linuxforums.org subdomain, and should start working again in about 24 hours.

    NP thanks for letting me know. I had thought it was the damn librarian who took offence the last time i was in here. He was monitering my screen so i started to instult him in cgi-irc hehe. I guessed he might have blocked it!
