Is adding RESOLVED to thread start feasible?
This has probably been brought up before but just wondering. I find it useful to know when a thread has been resolved. I'm referring of course to the thread header.

The person who started the thread has the option of editing the title if they edit their first post. I don't think other forum users can do it, though.
Stand up and be counted as a Linux user!

Yes, it was discussed here:

- 02-27-2007 #4OK, I see now that using the "Go Advanced" tab enables editing of the thread title. Obviously it's not well known though!

I may be wrong, but I think only admins/mods can change the title of a thread once it's been posted. I say this because I've read where regular users tried to change a thread title and said it wouldn't change. Maybe they were mistaken.
You could experiment if you wish with one of your own threads to see if it'll let you change the title.oz

Good point. All I did was see if I could access it and I could but I did not try to save it. I'll experiment now. Thanks.
I think I'll pop over coffee lounge for the experiment!!

ozar,
You are right, does NOT work for regular users. Too bad.

Thanks for testing it, rong.
Edit: I'm closing this thread, as the original question has been answered. Marking threads SOLVED is not feasible.Last edited by oz; 03-31-2007 at 12:45 AM.
