SuSE 9.1 Pro. Without reading, (would have saved me lots of grief) I installed ATI's Radeon driver. That driver isn't for XF86 v.3.99.xx on a 2.6 kernel. A brief visit to this forum on my bsd box, and I knew how to reconfigure XF86Config.old and write a new, usable file, undoing my idiocy. Without forums with nice people like you so selflessly helping out careless people like me, well, Bill would like that.
