I am one of those backwards people who aren't exactly thrilled by ads. I realize hosting costs money, and the revenue from this site is null. But is it possible to get rid of some of the advertising on the site (except using adblock or similar)?
The best way to reach those in charge of all advertising on the site and have your concerns addressed is through the use of the Contact Us link found in the lower-left corner of this page and others on the website.
Sorry for any inconvenience, and thanks for the feedback.
Easiest way its to make a yearly contribution equal to how much revenue is generated by the ads :)
or start liking ads and that way you wont be that backword..... :-).

If there are site whose ads you don't want, just add the domain (eg ad.doubleclick.net) to the localhost entry in your /etc/hosts file - simple! Speeds up browsing no end, too.
Another way is to use the Firefox extension "AdBlock Plus"

Yeah. I use Firefox with AdBlock and all the other stuff. This time I happen to be using the Google Chrome browser. Give me a break.
The localhost method works regardless of your browser choice.
