Make backup copies of DVD's with Fiesty

When I used to run winblows, I could make a backup copy of any DVD using dvd shrink and nero.

Is there an equivalent method with Ubuntu Fiesty?

I have read the threads, and tried just about every suggestion.

The closest I have come to making this work has been to use K9copy.....but that is iffy at best. No consistent success.

If anybody has found a fool proof way to do this, your help would be appreciated.

Here's a HowTo for making DVD backups:

HOWTO Backup a DVD - Gentoo Linux Wiki

It's designed for Gentoo, but should also work for other distros.
