Question What Linux distribution for audio recording/playback

I was wondering what distribution of Linux would be best for recording work and running programs like reason or fruity loops etc, I'm just using them programs as an example of the types of programs I want to use, like sampling programs and loopers etc. Also i don't mind what recording DAW I'll use as I've used many and can easily get used to new software.

You could use:
1. Mandriva 2007 with desktop-kernel.
2. 64Studio
3. UbuntuStudio
There are many applications for making-music, I'd recommend you to try Audacity, Ardour2, Hydrogen and eventually Lmms.
Don't forget to download the liblame0 package for MP3 encoding.

I've seen this a couple of times --but I have never been able to get it. The torrents seem to always be down, and the direct download doesn't seem functional either.
I want it. Anyone know where I might find a functional download site?
