Streaming music files with musicindex

Hey there,

I was looking for a software that would allow me to access and play my music collection from anywhere. I wanted the solution to stream the music files so I do not have to download the whole file before I can play it.

I came across the Apache module musicindex. I installed it on my Debian server and and it works great. I can access my music from home, work, friends. All I need is a web browser (firefox, opera, IE) and a player (xmms, totem, vlc, winamp).

I wrote a short tutorial and I just wanted to share it with you. Here is the link: Stream your music with musicindex

Enjoy!!
