Running quake 3 from a USB pendrive?

Short of a noob question, but I was wondering how I could run ioquake3 off of an USB pendrive. If I use FAT32, then I can't set the permissions to allow it to execute, and if I use a format that allows permissions, then it doesn't seem to want to mount anymore.

Nevermind, I figured it out. I installed ioquake3 on the laptop, and setup a symbolic link to the pak0.pk3 file on the pendrive.
