[SOLVED]Connect digital camera via firewire cable

Hello everyone,
I have sony handycam DCR-HC30E camera.
I am interested in connecting it to my Gentoo computer via firewire cable. I`ve connected camera to computer with Firewire cable and turned camera on in VCR mode. What do I need to do for identification camera in linux?

Sorry Guys but it's not problem.
I've just run Kino and gone to the Capture section of Kino and press Play on my cam. It's working
