ok sometimes when i play certain videos at high quality it causes a large amount of dropped frames, which causes the audio to trail ahead of the video then pause and wait for the video to catch up, and then trail off again. the log says i am dropping nearly as much as i am delivering. so im thinking thats the cause of the problem.

is there any way i can compress the video durring playback or something to lower the quality to a point my computer can play it (the video is at a resolution of 1280x720. if im not mistaken thats HD. and my computer has always had problems with high quality videos so i am assuming its not a software issue but a hardware issue. as such i was wondering if there was a software work around as it were. cus i cant afford to get a new video card)
