You probably need to install win32 codecs. Setup the various main, contrib, plf and updates software repositorie for your version of Mandriva using the instructions at easyurpmi and then run the package manager, search for win32 and install the package when found.

I have installed the Win32 codecs, but It still doesn't work
please help me out

get VLC or MPLAYER
as root do these
Code:urpmi mplayer-gui urpmi mplayer-skins urpmi mplayer-fonts urpmi mplayerplugin
Code:urpmi vlc
get's DVD playing support on MandrivaCode:urpmi libdvdcss2
NOTE
To install many codecs , application you have to enable various extra repositories , these repositories are not activated by default in Mandriva linux. Get repositories list by visiting Easyurpmilife is the greatest opportunity that the nature had given you
