    Arrow problem with mplayer


    Hi,

    I installed mplayer using yum command.It installed successfully then i created a launcher
    but when i am trying to open a file a fatal error occurred that is 'Error opening/initializing the
    selected video_out (-vo) device ' .

    please tell me how can solve this problem.

    Hi and Welcome !

    Try changing Video Driver in Mplayer Preferences. VIDIX driver working fine in my machine.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    In my system I set X11 (OpenGl) driver it's working but in full screen mode video comming slowly.
    please tell me solution for this problem

    If you are using OpenGL you will need direct hardware rendering..

    #glxinfo | grep direct

    will tell you if you have direct rendering or not, if you don't ask me. I can assist you
