    Pause live audio from line in

    Hi,

    Can anyone recommend any Linux software that will let my pause live audio from the Line In on a sound card with a single button press, and then allow me to carry on playing it, whilst still holding the live incoming audio? A bit like the pause button on a PVR, but for audio only. Ideally, it would also be able to record from schedules.

    I havnt tryed this.
    but with VLC you can Capture a AudioStream.
    What if you run VLC 2 times.
    One Capture
    and the other one playing the current stream.
