I have recently converted my laptop to Ubuntu - due to a major XP meltdown.
Most everything I need is working well, however, I cannot sort out video capture from my Panasonic GV75 DVI video camera.
I understand that using USB seems to not be an option in Kdenlive or Kino. So I acquired a PCMCIA ieee1394 card, which locks up the computer.
I would greatly appreciate advice on -
1. is there a way of using USB to capture dvi into the editing program.
2. or How can I get the PCMCIA card to work.
It is a SUNIX 3000 3 port card. Laptop is an Acer 5610 dual core, 1gb ram, NVIDIA Geforce GO7300 card.
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
