    Sound blips in xine

Hey, I'm on Kubuntu Gutsy 32bit and I'm having an issue playing audio in Xine. The sound "blips", it's not really skipping per say, and having the sound buffer high and output volume low hasn't made any difference. It only happens in Xine as Mplayer doesn't give me any issues, and I can't understand why.

    Help please.

Right... in 64bit it seems to have the same issue, which is a kick in the crotch considering this was my eventual intention to fix it. I'm just short of putting my old SB Live card in to see if that will stop it. For the record, this is the card LSPCI said I have:

00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation nForce3 250Gb AC'97 Audio Controller (rev a1)

It's built into my current MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum motherboard (nForce 3 Ultra chipset)

    Any help now?
