Games on LiveCDs?

From what I understand, Sabayon is supposed to be geared toward gamers, so I don't know why you shouldn't be able to play games on it. Of course anything is going to run much slower from a CD drive than it would directly from the hard drive itself.

Besides being naturally slower, the problem on most livecds is that, since legally, they can't redistribute the nvidia or ati binary drivers, then most livecds don't use 3d acceleration at all, which is a very bad thing if you plan to play modern games. So, I advice installing it instead of using linux from a cd.
Besides that, I don't think that any distro is any better for playing purposes. All of them can run the same games if you install them adequately. There's also wine for windows games, and a wide range of emulators for almost any machine or console under the sun.
