How compress MPG2 file?
I transferred a video file from a DVD to the hard disk with:
mplayer <track on DVD> -autoq 100 -vf spp -dumpstream -dumpfile /file.MPG2 (getting ride of -autoq 100 -vf spp does not make any difference.)
This worked but the problem is the file is 5.3G and I need it to be 4.7G at most - a 15% compression.
Can this be achieved but still make it simple to play? Perhaps mplayer <something>.
Have read the manual but it might as well be Greek. TIA.
