    Lillypond & Rosegarden install using SUSE 9.0



    Has any one been able to install Lillypond (music printing software) on SUSE 9.0, I am looking for tips. I have tried and just get all kinds of dependancy errors and listing of dependancies I can't find.

    Example: Lillypond needs mftrace, I go get mftrace and try to install it, it says it needs tlutils and pfaedit. I have not been able to find these.

    I have also been unsuccessful in installing the newest version of Rosegarden (music notation), same issues as Lillypond. I do have an older version that runs, but want newer one.

    can you explain these errors a little more thouroghly? also what so these programs do respectivly? I have never heard of them.
