    It depends on what do you mean by "fullscreen". True fullscreen do not allow that, however, you can always configure your WM to launch a given application maximized, ignoring taskbars and the like, and without window decoration, which will allow you to do so.

    This is a WM thing, so, whether you can do it and how depends entirely on the window manager you use.
