ati video driver
so i download the drivers from ati's website so that i can enable hardware acceleration. well, i get it to install, i run the config, but no direct rendering is possible. when i run fglrxinfo, it still says i have a driver from the mesa project. what gives?

I think you have to manully change mesa to vesa in your X config file (but I'm not 100% sure, having ATI troubles myself).
