    combining DVD video files

Okay, I am totally new to this and never had much use for multimedia work. I do use K3B to copy files to CD and DVD but what I need to do is combine video files from commercial DVDs. I'm taking care of my aged and mentally unstable mother. We have found that *MASH* and other DVD help to calm her and even make her laugh. The problem is she cannot use a remote control. I was wanting to combine the chapters into one large file so that the DVD would play each episode without any input from the user. I have looked at K3b and Kcopy but cannot figure out how to combine the files. Does anyone know of a howto that might cover this? This might be an important item for assistive technologies. There are a lot of people in their 80s that cannot use a remote.

Try mpegtools to edit and combine all the video files and then write the same on a new dvd using k3b........ Or try using 'cinelerrra'..
