    Rouge-like game are major fun too. Nethack, Moria, Slash'em (Albeit being a close relative of Nethack.), etc. They do have graphical front ends, but to get the true effect of their goodness, I suggest you just stick with the text interface.

    True enough. My personal favourite rogue-likes are ADOM and TOME. The former is set in a world designed by the game's creator, and the latter based upon the works of Tolkein.
