xvid and fedora core 6
I have xvid installed on a standalone linux box , fedora core 6, to do screen captures. The problem I am having is when I use the screen capture I can play the file after I record it using xvid but I get errors trying to replay it on the mplayer on the machine or even trying to replay it in xvid by double clicking on the file. xvid was set up for multi using the mpeg format. I tried single with avi but that didn't work either. When I try to save the file I created in xvid to a thumb drive and take it to another machine the file will not open with prism or windows media player or the other converter programs I tried and it says there is no data there in the file. I have other previously created mpeg files from xvid on my windows machine and they do not have the same issues. I can convert them with no problems.
