I cannot have sound when opening audio and mp3 files
Hello Everyone.....I was wondering if someone can help me with a problem I am having at my PC (Red Hat Fedora Core Distr)
The problem is that althouth I have configured sound and I can hear the sample test.....I cannot listen to any music either from an audio file or a mp3 file. I use the default programs of Red Hat....I have not downloaded anything else.

AFAIK Redhat9 removed all softwares that does mp3 encoding or decoding. To add mp3 support back into redhat linux you have to install mp3 plugin. To download mp3 plugin:

thanks for the reply...I downloaded the rpm and I will try it over the weekend. If another problems comes up I will let you know...I suppose I will have to download some other rpm for audio file support....(the one I downloaded was for mp3 support right?)...anyway thanks again
