    Unhappy slax playing video?...

im trying, fruitlessly, to install something to play videos, but nothing works without giving pages of errors.

does anyone know a good player for avi and such? i have xmms which doesnt work for music or video, and realplayer which works for audio only.

Mplayer is a very good media player, so are xine, Kaffeine and VLC. Xmms does work for audio, but you may need to install mp3 codecs, I am not sure if SLAX has them available or not.

EDIT: If you post the errors you are getting, I am sure someone can help you troubleshoot them.

Slax is the first real linux distro I used... to play AVI files simply click on them... it even works for high definition video...
