slax playing video?...
im trying, fruitlessly, to install something to play videos, but nothing works without giving pages of errors.
does anyone know a good player for avi and such? i have xmms which doesnt work for music or video, and realplayer which works for audio only.

Mplayer is a very good media player, so are xine, Kaffeine and VLC. Xmms does work for audio, but you may need to install mp3 codecs, I am not sure if SLAX has them available or not.
EDIT: If you post the errors you are getting, I am sure someone can help you troubleshoot them.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

Slax is the first real linux distro I used... to play AVI files simply click on them... it even works for high definition video...
