Hi,

I want to convert videos to watch in my PS3 using MediaTomb (UPnP Media Server).

I'm trying to use mencoder and ffmepg here, but with no success (PS3 keeps saying it is unsupported data).
PS3 can play this type of media:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_3_System_Software#Compatible_media_for mats

What are the correct options to use with mencoder, for example, to have a compatible video file?
My PS3 has the latest firmware (2.52 now) and I'm using Ubuntu 8.10.

Example that I tried:
mencoder -oac faac -oav lavc -lavopts vcodec=mpeg4 video.mp4 -o video.avi
