    Converting Media

    Since using the command line to use ffmpeg is a little difficult for us newbies, somebody (eRightSoft) got around to writing a very nice GUI for it (SUPER). I have used it in Windows, and am very happy with it.
    However, I cannot find a build that will run in Linux. They claim (truthfully, I've tried) that it will not run in a Windows emulator like WINE (I tried CrossOver).
    Does anybody know how I can install this on my system? I am running Mandriva 2008.1 KDE 3.5.

    Check here for some multimedia apps that run under Linux and might work for you:

    Multimedia | Linux App Finder

    I think you are out of luck with the app you mentioned above unless you run it under WINE or CrossOver, or you use some kind of virtualization to run it, as it appears to be for Windows only.

    That looks great, but I can't find it in my package manager. Technically Mandriva is a Red Hat distro. So do I download one of the Red Hat rpms that are on the download page?

    That should work. You could also download the source and compile it. It looks like that is the source under the "Free Pascal/Lazarus Source" heading.
