Handling Multiple Video streams in Linux
I have an ambition related to a multimedia server, and part of it is local-streaming. This is an example scenario:
There are x amount of TV tuners(5 for the purpose of this example).
Each TV tuner is on the PCI bus, all 5 streaming cable media. How/is it possible to handle each stream separately? Note that this will be HD streams(blu-ray/hd content).
The streams will be broadcasted through whatever means I deem fit for the job.
This is a local solution where a central linux powered media center might have internet media HD streams/downloaded HD content in your house and will be able to broadcast each unique stream to their place... the biggest issue in my planning has been this, how the streams will be handled efficiently. Someone with experience in this area would be a godsend... otherwise, all help and thoughts are appreciated
