    Is the a Linux version of steam that isn't a server? Is the counter strike in linux? I DON'T WANT A SERVER, i just wanna play the game! Anyone know?

    You have to use winex (cedega) to PLAY CS in Linux. I've done it and only had problems with the mic input. That was during the 2.4 days, and I was using ALSA (quite buggy at the time). You may be able to resolve this issue now. As for gameplay, I ran pretty seamlessly on my GF4 under winex3.

    ya but winex is l$60 a year. isnt there a way that doesnt cost you the price of a couple games?
