Warcraft III, Help me!
So, I just recently found out how to install my games onto Linux Unbunto 8.10 with Wine, I got Warcraft 3 and the Frozen Throne on, and Everytime now i start it up, it launches but freezes to a black screen after launching. So I would have to alt control delete and get out of it and relog into my account on my laptop. Any ideas of how to fix this problem? I was thinking to making WCIII into a Window instead of Full Screen but I dont even know how to do that on Linux. I'm new to this OS. Also my computer is a Dell Latitude D600, which just has enough push to run this game I believe last I checked. And it seems to quickly load up with these two on this computer.

Run this command on terminal emulator.
A configuration window will appear,# winecfg
Select the Display tab.
Check the box - Emulate the desktop
Set the resolution for Windowed mode. and apply.
after all this done.. run warcraft executable from terminal emulator..
e.g.
If any problem occurs you can see the errors on terminal.# wine something.exe
and post the output here.

only 'winecfg'
"#" is for representing console.

so the only option I had made it run in a window and under Terminal, but it goes by so fast that i can copy and paste whats in the terminal, it attempts to load up in a window for a bit, a row of things go down the terminal then I saw a error I believe when i glanced at it, and then it all just shuts down and goes away.

so now, I dont run it in terminal and it launches and goes to cinematics, but it wont let me skip cinematics or it will freeze up. Is there anyway to skip it? Or not freeze? haha. And even after letting the cinematics play, it freezes afterwards in that black screen again.

Now im just running the Autoplay.exe off the CD in Wine, and it seems to work, just the game in general is really slow. I know the system reqs meet it, and I also turned all the settings to the minimum ingame, is there any other way to get less lag and a higher FPS rate?
