[SOLVED] Looking for games- got an advice?
Hi
I'm Raluca, from Romania, Ubuntu enthusiast.
When I was using M$ Windows, I was playing games like Diner Dash/Wedding Dash (and sometimes more ellaborate stuff like Sims). I've been browsing lately for the same style of games - I mean the "taking care of little people/pets/creatures game style" for Linux, but haven't found anything yet (wel...you know, there are a lot of them and it can get quite confusing. ). Do you know any kind of games for Linux of this kind?
Thank you so much!

This isn't a solution, per se, but perhaps a workaround. Have you tried playing the online Flash versions of those games? They should work in Ubuntu as long as you have Flash installed.

You can try running them in Wine, considering those games are simple (not full blown 3D FPS etc.) they should run without a hitch.

Thank you al very much

@KingX- well yeah, but I have taken the decision to boycott every product that developers refuse to produce also for Linux; I find it to be discriminative, so, ethically speaking, I find Wine to be just a compromise, 'cause it encourages producers to keep on not bothering about Linux
@Rok -thanks, I'll check it when I have time
@Lakshmipathi- thanks, I took a look at it; trouble is, I couldn't play a game which involves shooting anything that remotely resembles a sentient being; it's just not my kind.

I found a game that I like: It's called FoodForce2; what I find annoying about it, however, is that you can't save your work so each time you just have to take it right from the start
