    Music Studio Linux

    Hello all,

I am working on a little DeathMetal Solo Project..
As I can't play Guitar nor Drums nor Bass.. ( I am more a Vocals guy and I can write the Music ) I want to start with this on the PC..
I know Windows has Fruityloops.. it allows me to do Drop-D Death Metal Guitar, Bass and Drums. I need an app that can do that in Linux.

I found Rosegarden, but I think it doesn't allow me to do the Guitar thing..

Any help on this would be great.!

    Cheers,
    Robin

    ps.
I know it always sounds better with the actual instruments.

    Death Metal Rules

Hey, Sounds like a cool project. I have heard this software is a good alternative to Fruity Loops.

    Give it a whirl.

LMMS - Or Linux Multi Media Studio. I am unable to post links so search for it in google. You will find it listed as a source forge project.

    Features
    Song-Editor for composing songs
A Beat+Bassline-Editor for creating beats and basslines
An easy-to-use Piano-Roll for editing patterns and melodies
An FX mixer with 64 FX channels and arbitrary number of effects allow unlimited mixing possibilities
Many powerful instrument and effect-plugins out of the box
Full user-defined track-based automation and computer-controlled automation sources
Compatible with many standards such as SoundFont2, VST(i), LADSPA, GUS Patches, and full MIDI support
Import of MIDI and FLP (Fruityloops Project) files
    Good Luck
