    Changing picture order in F-spot

I'd like to change the order of pictures in F-spot in order to make a presentable slide show. Now it looks like this is impossible, but is there an extension to F-spot I could change the picture order with? And where could I download this extension? Or would it better to get altogether different application to handle my pictures? Which one? Where to get it?

I recommend trying digiKam. It should be available through your distributions repositories/package manager. It gives some options on how to sort the images:

    View>Sort Images

    By Name
    By Path
    By Date
    By File Size
    By Rating

You can also sort the albums:

    View>Sort Albums

    By Folder
    By Catagory
    By Date

You still may end up having to change the file name, or something, to get the order that you want. DigiKam has batch tools, one of which is to rename files with an increasing dash number (-1, -2, etc).
