    All my dvd's work but one

    All my dvd's play fine in mplayer except for one. This is the only dvd I have made by sony pictures.
    I am wondering if there is a possible connection between these two facts? The copyright on the DVD says 2005 if that makes any difference.

    The connection you allude to is there, and not only with sony.
    Try VLC, just don't mess around with configuration files in Advanced Settings until adept with it.
    PHP Code:
    apt-get build-dep vlc 
    first, if using Debian.

    It was on gentoo. All the rest work fine frankly this one is not that important to me I was just curious.

    Well if its any comfort I had some weird stuff that went on with a few odd DVD's that wouldn't play. I think you need to provide more specific detail for someone to get to the bottom of it. In my case I also had a major difference between using windows, which wouldnt play them and Linux which would. In your case do give more details as I for one would like to understand why some do and some dont!
