Is there a music converter for ubuntu to convert my music files to ogg? My mp3 player supports it and I heard that ogg uses less room, thanks....

I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, in Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.

There are a variety of tools that will rip audio tracks from CD, WAV, AIFF, FLAC formats to ogg, including oggenc. I think oggenc is part of the vorbis-tools package. Converting from mp3 to ogg I'm not sure how to do, though I'm sure it can be done.

We use Audacity for converting sound files at my radio station all the time... an easy to use sound editor for Linux and Windows.
