Playing DVD
Hi,
I have Mandrake Linux 8.0. When I play DVD using powerdvd in windows I can see hyperlinks which provides me to change some options like changing subtitles or chapters. Now when I want to play in kmovie or something like that is ported along with the distro I can see the hyperlinks but clicking them dont work. So I have problem reading subtitles. Now is there any way out? Which software I should use which will give me the same amount of flexibility as powerdvd (and also must be free).
Thank you.

Well, admittedly I don't know that much about DVDs, but the best DVD playing software that I've found that is capable of supporting DVD menus is Ogle. I don't remember its homepage, but try googling for it.
Otherwise, many other programs support specifying the subtitle language and so on on the command line. For example, to display English subtitles when playing a DVD with mplayer, run this:
That's my favorite.Code:mplayer -slang en dvd://1
