smplayer size - zoom problem
Hi all,
usually when I click on a video file, smplayer will open and the size of the player
is the size (resolution) of the file - as it should be.
However, if I play a 1080p file (my desktop is only 1680*1050 so smplayer
maximizes and scales it to fit). So far so good.
When I close smplayer after the 1080p file played, further instances of smplayer
open in maximized mode (as above) and the movies inside is partially zoomed.
The zoom factor and the size are wrong, and neither are the controls
responsive, ctrl-1, shift-E. They do nothing until you hit the "restore",
top right middle button, and even after that the movie is still the wrong size.
Is it a bug in smplayer, or some setting or other?
Thanks for any info.
Dave

Probably a bug in smplayer. Does it fix itself if you shut down smplayer and then restart with the new video? Have you tried other video players (Kaffeine, VLC, etc)?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

Yes, after each file played I'm shutting down smplayer. To initiate the new instance
I merely single-click on the media file and smplayer opens..
The problem does not occur in Kaffeine.
Perhaps I'll see if I can track down the home of smplayer and report it there.
Thanks -
Dave
