Diablo on Linux
I am trying to get Diablo, the original version, installed on linux (FC2) but i seem to be having difficulties. If I install it on cedega 4.1.1.1-1, it changes res. as if it were going to the game's res. and then snaps back to my res. and nothing happens. If I install it on wine, it loads it in a window, goes through the blizzard intro, and then freezes up. Can somebody help me?

Try running the diablo.exe file with cedega in a terminal window and copy the error message it gives.

It doesn't work properly in linux.
Closest you can get is Cedega 4.1- it actually lets you create a character and play, sadly, you need a lot of time on your hand to do this, because it will never let you load your character again...
And it will NOT work on cedega 4.2. Go figure.

Try downloading one of the older versions.
And using Point2Play should help a bit.
Let's you configure WineX per game.
Diablo works using WineX. Check the forums there.
