Fatal IO error 11 when watching a movie

Every times i try to watch a video, X cashes, and i get a "Fatal IO error 11". This only happens when i use the ati proprietary driver. It works fine when i use the open source driver, but my gpu fan is too noisy when i use it, so i would like to stick with the proprietary driver. Any idea how to fix this error?

    Im on Archlinux
    Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5870
Desktop environment: XFCE (i don't know if it is related to xfce, because i get a Fatal Io error 11 for every components of the Desktop environment)

Here is the my whole /var/log/Xorg.0.log. Tell me if you need more infos.

Report this to the ATI driver team at AMD. This is not likely something we can help you with. Their driver is misbehaving and causing the X server core dump, most likely.
