Serve the audio output as audio stream
I am looking for a solution to supply audio content in a noisy/outdoors environment. The idea is that the public can see the video on a big screen, but the audio they get streamed to their smartphones. Essentially, the PC that plays the video is also connected to the Internet and serves it's audio output as a stream to whoever connects.
I am aware that there could be some audio lag, but I'm not sure if it is considerable enough to render this approach unpractical.
The streaming format could be that of standard Internet radio stations, so that any decent Internet radio app could be ok for the client side (Shoutcast?).
Any suggestions how to do this the best way, real experiences of somebody who tried?
