Remote desktop into my Ubuntu 12.04 HTPC from Ubuntu and Windows
I know this is the point where you all start rolling your eyes at how stupid this question is, but how do I transfer files over a wireless network to one Ubuntu machine from another Ubuntu machine or from Windows assuming everything is connected to the network and also has internet access?
I could set up a FTP server, but is there a simpler way?

Ubuntu to Ubuntu configure nfs (network file system), windows to Linux (Ubuntu) configure Samba. Are you talking about a LAN?
