Hi V2Linux do you know what distro you are running? Any issues may be specific to the distro. Alternatively, you can install VLC which handles most formats; how you do that is also pretty specific to the distro or at least the family.

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

He had wife aggro last night cause he came over (right after work) and helped me get this rdesktop thing to start.

I'd recommend VLC, too, it is awesome.
It is part of the ATrpms software repository. You'll have to configure access to it on your computer, but that's not too hard.
First install the GPG signing key:
Then go here and grab the right atrpms-repo file, based upon your architecture (x86 vs x86_64):Code:rpm --import http://packages.atrpms.net/RPM-GPG-KEY.atrpms
ATrpms - by Distribution > Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 > atrpms-repo
Download the right one and install it:
btw, you can tell your arch with this command:Code:wget http://dl.atrpms.net/all/atrpms-repo-6-5.el6.x86_64.rpm yum install atrpms-repo-6-5.el6.x86_64.rpm
once you install that atrpms-repo package, you are good to go. see if you see the new repo with:Code:arch
you should see atrpms in the list. then install vlc:Code:yum repolist
Code:yum install vlc
