    Help with dvd playback

    Hi,
I just installed linux the other day. It works great, but i cant play dvds. When I try and play one it only plays the unencrypted copyright info then closes the video player. I installed libdvdcss at least i think i installed it. Ive been trying to do this for hours getting nowhere. If someone could help me and tell me exactly what to do that would be awesome. I am using xandros 3 and xine for my media player.
    Thanks

If you check out Ogle DVD Player, and follow the instructions on that install page - Does it work? I've also had some problems with xine in the past, and Ogle fixed that for me.

    Good luck

xine normally picks up libdvdcss without any probs.

Dunno where you installed it from but have a sniff for libdvdcss2 and try that.
