Help Playing MOV in Kaffieine
I downloaded two video clips and tried playing them using Kaffeine and get an error about a plugin. What is the point of having video players on LInux if u cant play any videos because of copyrite B/S

It most likely is referring to a codec or program extension (plugin) you don't have. Do a google search for .mov codecs or kaffeine plugins.

Remember that Kaffiene is a front-end for Xine, so make sure you're getting the codecs for Xine.
Personally I prefer MPlayer since you can install the codecs for just about anything from one package, among other things.Emotions are the key to the soul.

thanx for the help yall i got the video clips to play they wasnt nothing speacial i also have another qeustion if yall dont mind i did a search and came across a site that had various codec for xine they had one that would play dvd but when i tried to install it still couldnt play dvd any sugestions??

To play DVDs you need to install libdvdcss. Google for it.

- 01-04-2005 #7i have already installed that codec at least i think i have maybe u didnt read my post before yours i said i installed the software and still get an error i just couldnt remeber what it was called
