    music player

I'm setting up a media center for my car using a Raspberry PI 3 and a PiTFT monitor.

What I am looking for is a music player that will allow me to:
    1. put together playlists like any other program
    2. be configurable so that when the music is playing all that is on the screen are the audio controls. Like play/stop and fwd and rev. It doesn't even have to have the artist info on the screen since most of the screen space will be taken up by the controls. Though, a little info would be nice.
    3. have the program start when the PI loads up and be in that mode automatically when the program loads.

I know I'm probably asking way too much, but this is what I am looking for.

    Have you considered VLC?

    this is advanced stuff.

vlc should be able to deliver.

    or maybe kodi?
or even some dedicated media center distro?
