cinnerla is als quasi well known, but both have serious stability issues, and cinerlla is built to be part of a multi-machine distributed processing farm, but it seems to be ok, the interface more that of an Avid than FCP. I do alot of video myself, and I use linux plenty for transcoding and the like, but I have yet to find a true editing interface that can match Avid or FCP (I'm on Avid 4.6 Xpress Pro now.... wheeee!)

thanks guys, i'll try both of these out and see if I can make anything of them...took me so long to learn fcp and the little avid that I know that I am sort of wary of learning a new one!
