Horrible framerate in Americas Army
I just installed Americas Army on Fedora Core 3 and I'm getting horrible framerates in it. I do have the NVidia drivers installed and I know that they are working because I can see the logo at startup, and Tux racer runs really fast opposed to what it used to run like before I installed the drivers. Anyway, I have a GeForce FX5200 and it ran AA really fast on windows, but the linux port only gives me about 7 FPS at 800x600 resolution and none of the settings changed. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong and how do I fix it? Linux has been giving me nothing but problems since I installed it.

For reference I get 750fps on a 1.3 Celeron, 64Mb GForce 2 MMX, 256Mb RAM. Can just about run AA.
Your framerate looks fine to me. How about your RAM? Have you tried booting up in a lightweight WM?

Kurtzwell, i don't think youre drivers are working correctly, because I get more fps with my Radeon 9200 SE on glxgears
I think you are still using Mesa or something : S5137 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1027.400 FPS
5603 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1120.600 FPS
5600 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1120.000 FPS
5609 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1121.800 FPS
5601 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1120.200 FPS
AA doesn't run well on my PC either, but UT2004 runs pretty well, but I don't like AA anyway, so I don't miss anything : D

u should get more than thaton glxgears. with my old TI4200 i get ~2800 fps
-check ur drivers
-update drivers, opengl, opengl-glx
-update xorg
and AA should run perfectly.
