I installed the java plugin for mozilla, and when i go to a page with java on it, mozilla just..... crashes, no warnings or anything. can someone please help me ...

Problems with java
I installed the java plugin for mozilla, and when i go to a page with java on it, mozilla just..... crashes, no warnings or anything. can someone please help me out?

Try starting mozilla from a terminal, and check if there is any error outputs in the terminal window when it shuts down. Else you can check out if there is any error logs for mozilla in /var/log/.

There are no error messages at all; not when ran in console and not in /var/log... wtf mate?

Try installing firefox and adding the java plugin to the plugin folder for firefox and see if you get the same problem. I used mozilla for a while and had the flash and java plugins and they worked fine before turning to firefox. So far, haven't been able to get java to work on firefox. Weird.
